Halloween 2005
A fantastically fiendish programme of events with internationally acclaimed performers Scarabeus' stilt walking show, the sell out Kaos Organisation, marvellous Mendinga Arts and World Famous Fireworks was conjured up to celebrate Halloween on Saturday 29 October 2005 at Whittington Park N19.
Events begin in daylight hours with magnificent Mandinga Arts mask making workshops producing macabre masks. As dusk fell things became spooky with two performances of “Halloween on Horror Hill” from The Kaos Organisation, returning after a sell out show last year
Darkness brought with it the procession of masks followed by Scarabeus stilt walkers performing the spectacular ‘Danza Antigua’ a dance macabre based on the day of the dead. The show and stunning costumes designed by Abby Grewcock were especially commissioned for this event by the Rowan Arts Project.
Master pyrotechnicians World Famous produced an awe inspiring free firework display ending the celebrations with a bang. We all enjoyed Halloween as never before!
“The evening stilt walking show was amazing such an inspired idea. Using the courtyard outside and stilts so everyone could see, brilliant.” L Tran
